Obituary of Mike Hynek

On Monday, June 29, 2020 Mike Hynek of Vermilion passed away in the Vermilion Health Centre at the age of 94 years. Mike was a generous, selfless man, with a strong faith, committed to family, with a special love for animals and music. He loved telling and hearing a good joke. We were fortunate to have him as long as we did. He will be missed. Mike will be loved and always remembered by his 3 Children Conrad (Yvonne) Hynek of Vermilion, Donna Smith (Tony) of Stony Plain, Greg Hynek of Lloydminster; Tillie’s 3 Children Darvin (Marlene), Ernie (Jackie), Judy Archie-Symes (Brad); 17 Grandchildren and 13 Great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other family members. Mike was predeceased by his First Wife Olga; Second Wife Tillie; Sisters Lenora, Sophie, Stella and Mary; Brother John. A private funeral service is being held. If so desired donations in memory of Mike may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute or charity of donors’ choice.
