Obituary of Dennis Roderick Simmonds

On Sunday, June 27, 2010 Mr. Dennis Simmonds of Vegreville, Alberta and formerly of Vermilion, Alberta passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in Vegreville at the age of 77 years. Dennis is loved and remembered by His Wife Marlene of Vegreville; his children: Doug (Shannon) Monette of Winnipeg, Brad (Carolyn) Monette of Victoria, Michelle Brookes of Victoria, David Monette of Victoria; 9 grandchildren: Misty, Stephen and Jessica Monette, Todd, Sarah and Julia Monette, Micheal, Trisha and Brandi Brookes; 3 Great Grandchildren: Spencer and Serenity Brookes and Taylor Cook; 2 Brothers: James Simmonds of Vermilion, Bill (Muriel) Simmonds of High Prairie, 3 Sisters: Dorreen Ahlgren of Vermilion, Joan (Bill) Connors of Surrey, BC and Josephine Pinel of Calgary. He was predeceased by his parents William and Fanny Simmonds; 2 sisters Ivy Paré and Catherine Tiffinger. A Funeral Service for Dennis will held on Friday, July 2, 2010 at First United Church, Vermilion at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Mary Royal officiating. Interment will follow at the Vermilion Public Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute or to the charity of your choice.
