Obituary of Raymond Lawrence Garner

On Thursday, October 2, 2025 Mr. Raymond (Ray) Garner passed away at the Vermilion Health Care at the age of 76 years.

Ray is loved and remembered by

Sharon Garner his high school sweetheart and wife

Children: Laureen Tanner (Roy), Kevin Garner, and Darell Garner (Janet)

Several grandchildren and great grandchildren

His Siblings: Darren Garner (BJ).

Lorraine, Elaine (Norm) and Randall (Nancy)

As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by Parents Lawrence and Pearl Garner,

Sister Beverly and Brothers Dewayne and Myron.

Ray enjoyed hunting and fishing, horseback riding, motorcycling, and fast cars.

He worked in housing and commercial construction in his younger years, later changed to selling building materials and

helping others with their projects.

He also was a fine craftsman building furniture, children’s furniture and toys.

After retirement Ray enjoyed travelling all over Canada and the US as well as other worldly places. Antarctica was his last “grand destination”.

Ray loved music of all types, movies and colour. His one request was for those who attend to wear colourful clothing.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to STARS.

We will be celebrating Ray’s life on

Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 2PM.

This will take place at the Four Points by Sheraton

at 1005 Provincial Avenue, Sherwood Park, Alberta.

Light refreshments will be served after sharing memories.
