Obituary of Lawrence Walter Onishenko

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Lawrence Walter Onishenko of Lloydminster. He passed away on Saturday February 21, 2026 at the age of 93 years.

Lawrence is survived by his wife Vi Young of Lloydminster; Sister-in-law’s Florence Onishenko, Grace Labiuk, and Violet Labiuk; Brothers-in-law Henry (Carol Ann) Labiuk, Jim (Wanda) Labiuk; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Lawrence is predeceased by his parents, William and Kate Onishenko; his first wife Zonia Onishenko; Brother Harvey Onishenko; and his brother-in-law’s Walter Labiuk, Nick Labiuk, and Leo Labiuk.

Lawrence’s Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Lloydminster Alberta. 2925-57a Ave Lloydminster AB, T9V 1W5.

The family asks that donations are to be made to the charity of the doners choice.
