Obituary of Evelyn (Carl) Champion

On Thursday, August 27, 2020 Mrs. Evelyn Champion of Wainwright, Alberta passed away at the Wainwright Health Centre at the age of 94 years. Evelyn is survived by her loving family; five children, Scott Carl of Edmonton, Alberta, Duane (Lynne) Carl of Edmonton, Debbie (John) Poruchnek of Wainwright, Diane (Kerry) Wittkopf of Wainwright, Russell (Luanne) Carl of Stettler, Alberta; seventeen grandchildren, Travis Carl, Stacie Carl, Heather Crippen, Curtis Carl, Carrie Lynne Milgate, Shane Carl, Dean Carl, Jeff Carl, Andrew Poruchnek, Lance Poruchnek, Colby Poruchnek, Ashley Lugrin, Shawn Bakewell, Rebecca Wittkopf, Aaron Wittkopf, Brooklyn Levy, Aubrey Carl; twenty seven great grandchildren, Brandon Carl, Nathan Carl, Cash Crippen, Cruz Crippen, Tristan Carl, Tiara Shelemba, Bryton Milgate, Talon Milgate, Jordan Carl, Maddyn Carl, Mckenna Carl, Colton Poruchnek, Brody Poruchnek, Lane Poruchnek, Natalie Lugrin, Emily Poruchnek, Quinton Bakewell, Samantha Lenz, Kyana Pyra, Karter McRae, Mairi McRae, Ariana Wittkopf, Bella Rose Wittkopf, Olivia Wittkopf, Zara Wittkopf, Hunter Wittkopf, Oliver Levy; one great great grandson, Lucas Milgate; two brothers, George (Barbara) Wyatt of England, John (Brenda) Wyatt of England; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Roy Carl; second husband, Dennis Champion; son, Brent Carl; grandson, Travis Carl; daughter-in-law, Donna Carl. A Celebration of life for family and invited guests will be conducted on Friday, September 4, 2020 at 1:00 PM from the Royal Canadian Legion, Wainwright. Family and friends wishing to participate may do so by selecting the webcast link below her photo or under the photos and video tab above. Interment will follow in the Wainwright Cemetery. If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada
