Oh the memories I have of spending time with Auntie Fran! After Mom passed away she took me under her wing and taught me many life skills....including relationship advice ( an inside joke between her and I) I can hear her chuckle right now. Her big heart , sense of humor and many other traits will be missed by all! Our deepest sympathy to Daryl Annellle,Kris Kara and Isabella. May you take comfort in your memories and know she is a peace!

Darryl, Annelle, and family and also the Lundquist families, how you will miss that smiling, vivacious lady! Probably about 7 years ago, she presented Ralph with photos of the Tebo Corner kids. He was so happy to have them. I have passed them on to another Tebo Corner student. Sheila Gerbig

I read Frances' obituary with a tear in my eye and a smile on my face. I saw your Mom often when my Mom lived at the Suites. She always had a joke, a poke, and a smile when we met. It is so unfortunate Covid doesn't allow you to give her a proper send off full of music, laughter, and shared memories of a life well lived. We are so sorry for your loss.

Thank you for the kind thoughts. She definitely had a soft spot for the "grand" generation - her grandchildren, grand nieces, and grand nephews.

I am very sad to hear of Frances's passing. Your mom was a wonderful lifelong friend of my mother's, Noreen (Rosdahl) Stewart. They were both born at Lashburn hospital, within 2 months of each other, my mother in January 1925, and they always laughed as to being the older and the younger, and it depended on the situation, as to whose benefit that was! They both grew up "north of the Gully" and the Lundquists and the Rosdahls were great friends and neighbors. It is interesting that both these women were the last surviving in their families of origin. Our mothers corresponded by letter on a regular basis, and we always looked forward to receiving her long and amusing Christmas letter, with all the news of Maidstone. They both went to normal school and became teachers and had some funny stories to tell of those experiences away from their home town. My mother moved to BC in 1948, but that did not diminish the friendship one bit! I remember attending Frances's surprise birthday party, likely her 80th?, with my mother, and it was so much fun! My mother passed away 10 years ago, and Frances sent us a very kind and thoughtful letter full of memories.
We also had other pleasant visits with Frances over the years, and my father remembers her very fondly. When i think of Frances, it is with a smile, as she always made you smile! I know you all have many smiles and laughter to hold her dear in your hearts forever.
Here are few photos of the best friends at Frances's wedding, and the infamous "bucket" photo.
All the best, Patti Stewart, and Ross Stewart

Thanks, Patti. Our mothers certainly shared a special bond. Mom was thrilled to be able to catch up with Noreen in person at Mom's birthday party - thanks again for making the effort to be there. She spoke fondly of both you in recent weeks as we worked through her many treasures - including Noreen's wedding gift, and a green pencil cup that you had given her and that she used daily! Thanks for sharing the memories and photos. Take care.

Darryl, Annelle, Kris, Kara & Isabella,
Hugs to you all! You've certainly had more than your share of sadness. Auntie Frances lived a very full life. We have very fond memories of her humor, her picture taking, her caring nature, her love of music, and most of all the love of her family. Sending lots of love to you all. Take care.
