Lily, Tara, Tennille, Art, Brent and Nola. My heart, thoughts and hugs go out to all of you during this difficult time. I just found out today that David had passed and I was so sad to hear that. A kind, true gentleman - all those that knew him will never forget him. I'm going to miss all the times he would waltz into the office (sometimes just to say hello cause he happened to be passing by) with this big smile on his face, his positive attitude and he always a funny story for us leaving us laughing. Rest in peace my friend.

I'm glad that I was able to at least watch the video of the funeral service, although I would have much rather been there in person to show the respect I feel for Dave. It was a real privilege to have known him and to have been his neighbor, even if only for these last four years. Like many others have pointed out, Dave was always willing to lend a hand, which he did for me and my sister many times. Whether it was lending a tool, or giving some very useful advice on how to best get something done, I knew that I could always count on Dave! He never made me feel that I was inconveniencing him, (although many times I'm sure I was!) and he always had time for an across-the-fence chat, which was especially appreciated during this difficult-to-socialize period. He will be missed in more ways than I can possibly mention. Rest easy Dave, you've earned it!

Lily and family our sincere condolences. Dave was such a generous and good humoured man. He helped me out with repairs both at my house in Vermilion and my little house in Mannville. Once when the children were very small our furnace quite in the middle of a minus 30 winter night. Dave came all the way out from Mannville to get us going again. I was forever grateful. Dave will be very much missed.

Dear Lilly and family: We are so sorry to hear of David's passing. He fought a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Even as a child David inspired everyone around him. He was always active in a positive way, contributing to the family farm. His work ethic and resourcefulness has inspired me to this day. He was always there for me in plumbing and construction issues, that may have come up., always pleasant and never acted like the tasks were a problem or inconvenience..
