Obituary of Bertrand Joseph Drapeau

Bertrand Joseph Drapeau, 76, of Fabyan, passed away at the Wainwright Auxiliary Long Term Care Centre Friday, July 22 2016. Bert is loved and remembered by his wife Katherine Drapeau of Fabyan, four children: Laurѐne (Paul Robitaille) Drapeau of Gatineau, Daniel Drapeau (Krista Bond) of Wainwright, Kristina (Dean Perkins) of Edmonton, and Julian (Chrissy) Drapeau of Calgary; Bert was especially proud of his three grandchildren: Brad and Alexa of Edmonton and Arianna of Calgary; Siblings in Quebec: Gisѐle (Ephrem Cabot) of St-Raymond, Rhéal (Nicole Plamondon) of Rimouski, Bernard (Nicole Poirier) of Aylmer, Diane (Denis Proulx) of St-Nicolas, and Johanne (Gilles) Guérin of Quebec City. Bert was pre-deceased by his brother Jean-Yves (Charline Dickner) Drapeau and sister Denise (Reynald Dionne) of Levis and his parents Annette and Médéric Drapeau. A Prayer Service for Bert will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Wainwright. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. If so desired donations in memory of Bert may be made to the Wainwright Health Center Long Term Care Patient Comfort Fund, Blessed Sacrament Church of Wainwright, or the charity of choice.
