Obituary of Eldon Carl Martin

Eldon Carl Martin was born Monday, October 25, 1948 to Carl and Shirley Martin in Drumheller. After a short stay at Wainwright Health Centre battling lung cancer, he passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 69 years of age. He will be sorely missed. Eldon leaves behind a family who loved him dearly; wife of almost 30 years, Louise; son, Dean Martin; daughter, Tara (Wayne) Bond and their daughter, Amy-Lynn; step-daughter, Melissa (Nigel) Kerr with their children, Angela and Brandon; step-daughter, Melinda (Brent) Garnier with their son, Payden as well as their expected son; sisters, Judy (Al) Dorman and Shirley (Ken) Botting; brother, Gordon Martin; sister-in-law, Deb Martin; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Eldon was predeceased by his parents, Carl & Shirley Martin; infant grandson, Keagan Jacobson; step-sister, Beverly McArthur; father-in-law, Hank Flamand; brother, Robert "Bob" Martin; and sister-in-law, Kathy Martin. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, March 23, 2018, 2:00 p.m. from Grace United Church, Wainwright, Alberta with Pastor Anne McGrath officiating. If so desired, memorial donations would be gratefully received by Stollery Children's Hospital or Hayin' In The 30's Cancer Support Society.
