Obituary of Shirley Marguerite Kent

On August 30, 2018, Shirley Marguerite Kent (Messier) of Wainwright, Alberta, passed away with her husband and family by her side, after a short battle with pneumonia, at the age of 82. Shirley was born on January 8, 1936 in Wainwright, Alberta. She was raised in Heath and attended schools in the Heath and Wainwright area. She began her working career in 1952 at Camp Wainwright where she worked for the next 37 years as Secretary for the Construction Engineers. Shirley will be greatly missed by her loving husband Jim, her children Ken (Eunice) Reichstein, Marilyn (Murray) Fuder, Harold (Maxine) Reichstein and Don (Vivian) Reichstein. Also, her extended family Donna (Mark) Masson, Dean (Debbie) Kent, and Keri (Colin) Wamsley, her brother Dennis Messier, sister Linda (Larrie) McCagherty, 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her parents Rosalphis (Rosy) and Elizabeth (Gertie) Messier and her brother Bruce Messier. At Shirley’s request, a private graveside service will be held to remember and honour Shirley. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wainwright Cemetery Association or the charity of your choice.
