My sympathy to all of you. Dorothy was a great lady, always friendly and thoughtful and a smile for everyone. When I worked in the bank in Marwayne,, she and Doreen Lowrie had the Stop and Shop next door to the bank and she always me feel so welcome. When Les and I were married, she and Doreen hosted a bridal show for me. I was sorry that I couldn't be at her funeral. My sincere sympathy, Dorothy Bowman

Dear Leasa & families - Sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. What a beautiful picture of her here. Much like I remember her. Although it has been a long time since I have seen her in person, I do recall your Mom from community activities - skating, Explorers & CGIT - from the time our family moved to Marwayne in 1967. Yes, 50 years ago.! And, I never think of "Puffed Wheat Square' that I do not think of her. Or was it "Sticky Jim?" Know you are in my thoughts and prayers over these next days. Dear Leasa, Gordy, Bill, Ronda, & your precious family, Words can't describe how sad we are to lose your dear Mom, we are going to miss her greatly, especially my Mom. Dorothy was Mom's #1 friend and companion at the Pioneer Lodge, and of course throughout their lives. They joked many times how several thought they were sisters. Dorothy was someone very special to me as well. She was like a second Mom to me when Leasa and I were just little girls and later on when we figure skated together. I was so fortunate and blessed to spend more time with her when she moved into the lodge. I'm so sorry that we can't be at the funeral to pay tribute to such a classy lady and good friend. Bill,Rhonda, Leasa, Gordy & families We were so sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. Although it's a shock and hard on all left behind, it was a nice ending for her. Dorothy was a very classy lady, always looking her best! Enjoyed visiting with her as she had an infectious laugh and always found a little humour in everything. Dorothy& Doc were good friends of mom & dad and they enjoyed many an evening playing cards. Sorry we won't be home to attend Dorothy's service but will be thinking of all of you. To the family of Dorothy Cooke: We are saddened to hear of Aunt Dorothy's passing. One of my memories of Dorothy is from back in 1960 when I spent a week or so with Her and Uncle "Doc" when they were living in Josephburg near Edmonton. She has always been a kind and gentle person with a memorable laugh and sense of humor and She will surely be missed by her family and many friends.
