Obituary of Scott Wood
It is with great sadness that the family of Scott Wood announce that on Thursday, May 16, 2019 Scott decided that earth was just not the place for him anymore. For everyone who has an endless list of questions, what we can tell you is Scott has been sick for a very long time and has battled an enormous amount of trauma that had impacted his mental and physical well being. This may be a shock to most, but for many not so much. Scott was suffering a silent battle not seen by many, and unfortunately he became too tired to push through his pain and suffering any longer.
Scott is survived by his loving family; his wife, Michaela of Wainwright, Alberta; two daughters, Emily (Simon Cadieux) Wood of Petawawa, Ontario, Sophie of Wainwright; his parents, Bob and Betty Wood of Port Colborne, Ontario; his mohter-in-law, Gertrud Muller of Germany; two sisters, Lori (Gerald) Oskam and Susan (Tim) Donofrio all of Port Colborne; his brother-in-law, Peter Muller of Germany; sister-in-law, Ute (Georg) Ringwald of Germany.
Emily and Sophie would like everyone to know, that they realize the pain was to much for their dad to handle, they are not ashamed, embarrassed or anything of the sort. They love him very much. He simply became too tired and his soul-wherever that may be, is at rest now.
There will be a an intimate and small celebration of Scott held from Creech's Funeral Home on Friday, May 24, 2019. Please feel free to contact the family if you wish to attend. Interment will take place in Ontario at a later date. If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Alberta Division.
