Obituary of Richard Gordon Smith

On Tuesday, July 2, 2019 Mr. Richard Gordon Smith of Kitscoty passed away at the Vermilion Health Care Complex at the age of 85 years. Richard will be forever loved by his wife of 59 years Bev Smith of Kitscoty; his children Brent (Debra) Smith of Kitscoty, Brian Smith of Vermilion, Scott (Krystal) Smith of Grande Prairie, and Terri (Paul) Leedell of St. Albert; 9 Grandchildren Candice (Doug) McLean, Krista (Troy) Willcock, Kelsee (Jonathan) Mark, Joel (Jessica) Smith, Kaitlin (Taylor) Wolters, Cole Smith, Tyler Smith, Mia Leedell and Emerson Leedell; 9 Great Grandchildren Alexa McLean, Brooklyn McLean, Katie Willcock, Brynn Willcock, Tanner Willcock, Richie Mark, Anastasia Mark, Emily Mark, Payton Smith; Brothers Johnson Smith, Lorne Smith and Leslie Smith; Sisters Betty Adams, Evelyn MacKay and Karen Dickinson Richard was predeceased by his parents Lorne and Mildred Smith, brothers Earle Smith, Fred Smith and Eric Smith A Celebration of Richard’s life will held at the Kitscoty Community Hall on Tuesday, July 9 at 11:00 a.m. If so desired donations in memory or Richard may be made to STARS.
