My deepest sympathies to Denise, Randy, Emily, Charlene, Dusty, and to all of the family. I cannot begin to imagine the pain.. and there are no words. Chad was my brothers best friend, and by extension, a huge part of our family. He had spent many summers coming to the cabin or the lake in MB with us all. He always treated me like a little sister, he had been there for me in some of my lowest times in life. I remember a few years back when Dad left and didn’t take me with him to MB, Texas and Chad picked me up and dragged me along with them - even though I wasn’t much fun at all. When we got there, they decided to go out mudding and Chad let me ride on the quad with him because no way was Tex gonna let his little sister tag along on his quad! Hahaha! What an amazing person Chad was. And boy could he fish! He was there for my only big catch. Chad and Texas left me on the bank to fish and they took the boat out - I remember the mosquitoes were so awful that night, that’s why they went offshore. They really didn’t expect me to catch anything so they left me behind. Then all of a sudden I thought I hooked a log and yelled out to the boys that I was stuck on something - and my reel went “sheeeeeeeew!” You would have never seen those boys paddle back faster to help me reel it in, not to mention they had the only net because they didn’t think I’de actually catch anything. Hahaha! 41 inches! I was always happy when they let me tag along, though. That’s one of my favourite memories, it always makes me smile. Chad is missed by all that knew him. I am sure others have similar stories, It was who he was, just a really kind and caring guy who never made anyone feel excluded. Love him so much.
