Sorry we were unable to attend Franks service yesterday, but I was thinking of him and what a wonderful man he was and knew that you would be surrounded with many who felt the same way. What an important community member he was here in Edgerton, countless hours at the rink..indoors and out, teaching so many kids not only to skate and puck handle but to be good sports and have fun. I was always grateful to him for taking on the first Edgerton girls hockey team, trying to teach us,always encouraging us, and never giving up on us for never winning...not to mention transporting us and packing along his sons hockey equipment cause we never had enough. And the bus driver we loved. He let us have the radio on, CHED and rock(the 70's), we were the envy of the kids on the north busses cause we had Frank. He was special and he made us feel that way too. And I remember how much respect my folks had for the fuel station and how obliging Frank was.(I was just happy to have the farm tank full) The last time I spoke with Frank was at the Lloyd Relay for Life a couple years ago where Irene Guy & I always walked. He asked me what I was doing there, and I said I guessed the same thing as him. He laughed. Still the twinkle in his eye. And then he asked about my kids and my life. Always interested in his bus kids! Sad times when someone passes but he has left such a legacy .....I'm sure you'll have stories to share for years, and that will keep him just a thought away. So, I send warmest thoughts to you Mae and your boys, we all know you were the most important parts of his life. Take care, Mary
