Obituary of Royal Morrison Knapp

On Wednesday, October 8, 2014 Mr. Royal Knapp of Vermilion passed away at the Vermilion Health Care Complex at the age of 93 years. Royal was a WW II Veteran: Private (Lance Corporal) in Royal Canadian Army Service Corps.he served from Jan. 28, 1942 – Feb. 4, 1946. Served in U.K., Central Mediterranean, Continental Europe Royal is loved and remembered by his children Bill (Marie-Andrée) Knapp of Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Florence (Jim) Tovell of Vermilion, Gloria (Randy) Chute of Edmonton, Esther (Lorne) Austring of Whitehorse, Yukon, Timothy (Debbie) Knapp of Airdrie, AB; grandchildren Genevieve (Sebastien) Cormier-Duillard, Philip (Sheri) Tovell, Wesley (Hazel) Tovell, Mark (Maria), Tovell, Esther (Joel) Ellard, Aaron (Alexis) Chute, Matthew (Jaclyn) Chute, Stephen (Danielle) Chute, Randi-Louise (Jordan) Peterson, Ben (Monica) Austring, John-Paul Austring, Kimberly Knapp, Colin (Kathryn) Knapp and Justin Knapp; great grandchildren Eve Knapp-Douillard, Madison Tovell, Haley Tovell, Rafi Tovell, Daniel Tovell, James, Xandrea Ellard, Hannah Chute, Eden Chute and Owen Chute; his brother Clarence Knapp of Kelowna BC . He was predeceased by his wife Amy in 2012; parents William and Katherine Knapp and great grandson Zachary Chute A Funeral Service for Royal will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Parkview Alliance Church, Vermilion at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Vermilion Public Cemtery.
