It was with a very heavy heart that I received that phone call from Linda. Grandma Lu, as we affectionately called her, was a very special person in our lives & she will remain in our hearts forever. We both wish that we could be there on Thursday, but since we cannot be there in person, our hearts will be with you all. It was her time to move on, but it is still very difficult for you all to say goodbye. Just remember that she is in a better place & you will rejoin her someday. Dean is away working, so he is also not able to be with you, but I know how much he loved her & wishes that he could be there. Mark is truly honored to be one of her pallbearers. We will be making a donation to the cemetery fund, in Grandma Lu's memory when we return home.

Dear Linda, Doug, Ethel and all of Lulu's family, John and I were very sad to hear of Lulu's passing. She was an extraordinary woman and was loved and respected by everyone who knew her. Anne's Mom lived a full life to the age of 97 as well, and although she was ready to continue her journey, we will miss her always. We know you too will miss Lulu, but your love for her will never change. You were all very blessed to have her share your lives for so long and the memories she has left with you will comfort you in the days and years to come. With all of our love, John & Anne

I have known Lulu since I was 6 years old and she and Gib lived in our farmyard while he was teaching at Lynx school. Then they were our neighbors when we first lived in Wainwright. She was a great lady and will be missed by all who knew her.
