Obituary of Leonard Joseph Block

On Wednesday February 25, 2015 Mr. Leonard Joseph Block of Lloydminster and formerly of Paradise Valley passed away at the Dr. Cooke Extended Care at the age of 91 years. Leonard is loved and remembered by his children: Jim (Jenny) Block of Fort McMurray, Marion Hartel of Bashaw and Ken (Sheila) Block of Edmonton; daughter-in-law Eleanor Block of Cold Lake; 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; his brother Ed Block, sisters Mary Vert, Florence (Ted) Nordquist and Irene Stewart as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Evelyn, son Raymond; his parents Gus and Gladys Block; brothers Roy, William (Bud), and Gordon. At Leonard's request he was cremated at Creech's Crematorium and a Celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Paradise Valley Cemetery.
