Just heard of Myrtles passing. May she rest in peace! What a lady! She became such a good friend and neighbor to my parents when she married "Johnny" and moved south of the tracks. The fun and laughter and tears she shared with my mom,Doreen over the years still warms my heart. As mom was dying at home she visited almost daily, bringing something each time,whether it be baking or a cushion or a quilt, ending with a hug and a laugh. How she could laugh and that I will remember always . She endured more than most of us could imagine, burying her 2 husbands and 3 children and her parents and I remember her saying when Millie died," I feel like an orphan". She was tough. As my parents passed I knew exactly what she meant! I loved my talks with her as a teenager and young woman and always appreciated her wisdom, her advice and her sense of fun. And the laugh. I'm sure that laugh is what carried her along so often. These last years have not been nice, when failing health steals away the person you once were....well that's sad. But now for Myrtle, peace. And Heaven just got alot louder as Myrtle reunites with her loved ones and if the TV is on they're watching "Coronation Street" God Bless,Mary
