Obituary of Adeline Koback

On January 22, 2016, Adeline passed away suddenly at home of cardiac failure at the age of 55. Adeline lovingly known as Dandeline & Baba, slipped into the arms of her heavenly father. Her quick wit, strength and determination saw her through a life of adventure, struggle and accomplishment. Adeline was born on November 9, 1960 in Uranium City, Saskatchewan. She received her education in Ituna and on November 25, 1978 she was united in marriage to Morris Koback. They farmed in the Foam Lake area for many years where they raised their children Amber and Michael. In 2005 they moved to Vermillion Alberta to be closer to their children. Adeline held various positions in the hospitality and retail service area and most recent at the hospital and nursing home. Adeline leaves to cherish her memory, her Husband Morris, her Daughter Amber (Craig) Slywka, her Son Michael, Grandchildren Brock and Zac Slywka, Mother Lillian Krywulak, Brother Richard, Sisters Liz (Barry) Anderson, Sandra (Glen) Butchko, Brother-in-law Terrace Koback , Nieces Sheri, Jamie, Layla and Nephew Craig. She was predeceased by her Father Steve, her Paternal grandparents Mike & Eva (nee Milo) Krywulak, her Maternal grandparents Metro & Lena (Rusnak) Sawiuk, in-laws Steve & Mary (nee Dmyterko) Koback and her aunts and uncles. Adeline will be remembered for her sense of humor and her love of family. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and she enjoyed being known as a hockey Baba. She was a wonderful cook excelling in making many homemade dishes which her family & friends enjoyed. She enjoyed nature, the still waters of a lake, loved animals and was an avid gardener. In the summer, the Koback family would pack up their camper and quad and head for the lake or the mountains. Adeline was loved and will be missed by her family and friends. Prayers will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. from Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ituna, Saskatchewan. Requiem Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, February 1st at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church. Brock Skywka as cross bearer and pallbearers, Bernadette Burton, Bonnita Koback, Kyle Anderson, Gerald Milo, Kenneth Koback and Shayne Slywka. Please join us at the hall following the interment for a luncheon and to remember and celebrate with family and friends. A memorial gathering to celebrate Adeline’s life will be held in Vermilion at a later date to be announced.
