Obituary of Douglas Wayne Nelson

Douglas Wayne Nelson was born on May 31, 1949 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

He passed away on March 14, 2024 in the Lloydminster Hospital at the age of 74 years.

Doug is survived by his loving wife Debbie of Lloydminster, Daughter Jay (Nicole), family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Mildred and Bill Bottomley.

Doug was proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He  joined Big Brothers 47 years ago and maintained a steady relationship up to his passing. 

Doug enjoyed playing canasta, camping, hunting and fishing and spent his working years as a Long Haul trucker.

In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place and a family service will be held at a later date.

Donations in memory of Doug may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation.
