Obituary of George Victor Bucknell
On Sunday, September 8, 2024 George Victor Bucknell of Lloydminster passed away at the Viking Extendicare days after turning 93.
George was born at the family home near Glenevis, AB on September 3, 1931.
Over the years George owned several local businesses including Border Service, Westmount Service, Meridian Service, Bucknell Sales and Service.
George dedicated his life to Jehovah on April 5, 1943. He took pride in sharing his beliefs with many, including his strong hope in the resurrection. "I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection" - Acts 24:15
He is survived by his children Larry (Patti), Marliss (Spencer) and Janice; 6 grandchildren - Jason (Linda), Tyler (Rachel), Melissa, Misty (Eric), Megan and Jeremy (Jacinda); 8 great grandchildren - Blaise, Brett, Keira, Bruin, Natalya, Alex, Adella and Kenton; 2 sisters - Florence and Elsie; 4 brothers-in-laws- Herb (Gladys), Wayne (Betty), Rick (Mary) and Ron (Betty) and 3 sisters-in-laws Donna (Warren), Agnes (Chris) and Sandra; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Audrey, great granddaughter Trista, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
A Memorial will be held on Saturday, September 21 @ 2 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1502 49 Ave, Lloydminster SK. Lunch to follow at the Legacy Center, 5101 46 St, Lloydminster, AB.
