Obituary of Alain Fiolleau
Alain Dennis Joseph Fiolleau, born on March 25, 1945, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, passed away on November 8, 2024, in Lloydminster, Alberta. A dedicated teacher in both the Lloydminster Catholic and Public School divisions since 1977, teaching junior high and high school, Chemistry, Science, and French. Alain cherished the opportunity to shape young minds and to be enveloped in the environment of education and learning.
Alain's family was his proudest accomplishment. He is survived by his beloved children: daughter Ginette Fiolleau, sons Gilles and Dominique Fiolleau (Kyla), along with his cherished grandchildren Annalise, Marcelline, Siara, Denym, Hadlea, and Daxton.
Alain was proud of his history and the legacy he came from. He was proud to come from a farming community rich with history, stories, and traditions. His siblings are Jeannine Piche, Maxime Fiolleau (Marlene), Rose Viden, Michel Fiolleau (Paulette), Diane Mikaelsson (Karl), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents Claire and Marcel Fiolleau and his brothers in law Raymond Piche and Garry Viden.
Alain was a creative spirit, finding peace in the outdoors and holding a deep love for animals. His strong faith in the Catholic Church and his belief in God guided him throughout his life. Alain often reminded those around him, "You never know with a Fiolleau," reflecting his playful spirit. He will be deeply missed, leaving behind a legacy of love of family and traditions, a joy of education, learning, and devotion to God.
In keeping with his wishes a Family service will be held at a later date.
