Obituary of Hazel Hanning

Hazel Elizabeth Hanning, born on November 13, 1919, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014 in Vegreville Hospital at the age of 94 years. Originally from Mannville, Hazel lived in Dawson Creek, B.C. for many years, returning to Vermilion in 1998, then to Mannville in 2004. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Dianna (Fred) Cardinal; grandchildren Ilona Cardinal, Wayne Cardinal, and Brad Kazmiryk; great grandchildren Connor, Duncan, & Rowan Cardinal-Culver, McKenzie Dowden, and Sabrina Kazmiryk; sister Agnes Heaton; brothers Norman Upton and Gerald (Mary) Upton; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Hazel was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Ned Hanning; parents Art and Velva Upton; brothers Donald, George, and Robert Upton; sisters Alice Walker, Audrey Smith, and Dorothy Upton. Family and friends are invited to gather for a graveside service on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Mannville Public Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
