Obituary of Warren Mclaughlin

Warren Francis McLaughlin passed away suddenly on his farm in the Braes District of Mannville, Alberta on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the age of 67. He was born in Mannville on June 26, 1947, the fifth child of 8, to Emmett and Elsie (Prill) McLaughlin. Warren officially took over the family farm in 1977, continuing to raise Hereford and Black Angus cross cattle and farm cropland until his death. He was also an avid hunter and loved riding horseback to check cattle and scope out wildlife with his border collie always at his side. He is survived by his children Tracy (Mike) Irving, Kirby (Shane) Needham, and Clint (Sarah) McLaughlin, his grandchildren Clark Irving; Jillayne, Waylon and Hank Needham; Bradley and Katrina McLaughlin, whom he loved dearly. Also siblings Ellen James (Wayne Adams), Gordon McLaughlin, Rodger McLaughlin, Lester McLaughlin and Charlotte Moorhead, numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Emmett and Elsie, his brother Mansell and sister Eunice McLaughlin. A Memorial Service will be held at the Vermilion Regional Centre on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mannville Fire & Rescue, Heart & Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the donor's choice.
